sculpted new objects

Here photo´s of the new objects I formed in the last weeks. I am happy that I am busy and it seems as if the objects will look great when fired.

objects added

today I added 2 objects to the "Geometrics" category.
They are both not new, sorry for that.
The "unnamed object" is maybe 10 month old, but the "dubbelwalled object" is quite old.

Sunday 31 August 2014

www.simon-hof.com ready

Finally all the pages of www.simon-hof.com are ready, all objects I wanted to show can be seen.
Of course I still have to make some corrections in text and photo´s but I am done with the pages and the layout.
Now I have to create new works and thats what I am already busy with.

Sunday 24 August 2014

Back again

After a long holiday I will start again this week.

Tuesday 1 July 2014

Geometric Objects

The "Geometric Objects" are also there. One more to go: the "Spirals".

Thursday 26 June 2014

Today all the "organic objects" have their own page with slideshow. Take a look!

Monday 23 June 2014

Today I managed to create all the "hemisphere" pages. Now I will go on with the "organic objects".

Saturday 21 June 2014

www.simon-hof.com is finally there

Finally the site is online and at the right webspace.
The 4 gallery-pages (geometric, organic, boxes and spirals) are there.
With the great help of Stefanie from Toastie Studio there will be slideshows for all objects on the objectpages.
There´s only one at this moment for the box with broken surface.
So my task is now to create every day some objectpages.
The cv is still missing.

Thursday 19 June 2014

You may have noticed that there was happening nothing on my website for a very long time. The files where gone so I could not update it but had to build a complete new version.
But it took me a while before I found the drive to set myself to this (for me) big project.
Finally here it is, the new site. Not jet finished, but I am working on it, really!

I hope you will enjoy it.

Monday 26 May 2014

A new naked-raku fired piece is ready. It is small, just a trial for further experimenting with naked raku.
This technique can give you the craquelé pattern without the shining glaze.
The glaze will spring of the piece when getting a temperature shock, so you get the dark lines, the cracks in the glace produce, but without the "glaslayer" of glaze.
It can look (and feel) like marble. This one got a bit too much black colour to have this effect.

Wednesday 16 April 2014

I am going on a 4 day workshop to learn new techniques: naked raku and smokeless raku. The new forms from the last 2 posts go with me to undergo these techniques, some other things as well.
I am looking foreward to it. Results will be shown here.
